Privacy Policy
Effective August 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jackpot: Family Accountability collects, uses, stores, and shares information when families use the app. Jackpot is operated by Eleise Medina, LLC under The Medina Method brand.
App: Jackpot: Family Accountability

Information families provide
Jackpot collects information that a parent or family member enters or creates while setting up and using a family. This may include a family name, family and member identifiers, profile passcodes or related access credentials, family preferences, and information described below.
Family and member profiles
Family profiles may include member names, dates of birth, parent or member roles, profile pictures, access settings, and the member selected for a personal device. Dates of birth are used to maintain accurate age-related profile information; Jackpot does not require a government-issued identity document.
Responsibilities, reports, standings, allowances, and cycle history
Jackpot stores responsibilities and assignments, areas or rooms, descriptions, completion records, schedules, reports between family members, correction windows, disputes, parent decisions, timestamps, points, deductions, standings, reward and allowance settings, Grand Allowance activity, and completed-cycle results and history. Reports may identify both the person submitting the report and the person reported.
Photos
When a person chooses to submit a report or select a profile picture, Jackpot may ask them to take or select a photo. The app does not continuously access the camera or photo library. Photo access occurs after the user takes an action and grants the operating-system permission. Report photos can be seen by authorized family members through the report and accountability workflow.
Invitations and family joining
A parent can create a temporary invitation for an existing member’s personal device. The invitation is associated with the selected family member, has an expiration, can be revoked, and is intended for one use. The raw invitation code is returned so it can be shared, while the backend stores a protected hash rather than the raw code. A recipient must still verify the selected profile passcode. Anyone who receives an invitation link or code may be able to attempt to use it before it expires, so families should share invitations only with the intended person.
Device and notification information
To connect an authorized device to a family and synchronize data, Jackpot may process an app-generated installation identifier, device access credentials, device mode, selected member identifier, operating-system platform, notification preferences, and related security or synchronization information. These identifiers help distinguish authorized installations and are not intended to be advertising identifiers.
If notifications are enabled, Jackpot stores a push-notification token and uses it to route alerts such as reports, disputes, deductions, responsibility assignments, and cycle activity. Push delivery may also involve Expo and the notification services operated by Apple or Google. A user can turn notifications off through device settings, although the stored token may remain until it is replaced, revoked, or deleted.
Beta feedback
Parents may submit an app problem, general feedback, or cycle feedback. A submission may include category, summary, details, expected and actual behavior, survey answers, family and cycle identifiers, app version, platform, device type, installation identifier, source screen, and an optional contact email when permission to follow up is given. A parent may also choose to attach a screenshot. Feedback screenshots are stored in private storage and are not published as public links.
How information is used
We use information to:
- Create and operate a family’s responsibility and accountability system.
- Synchronize authorized family devices and show member-appropriate information.
- Calculate points, deductions, standings, allowances, rewards, and completed-cycle results according to the family’s settings.
- Process reports, correction opportunities, disputes, and parent decisions.
- Send requested operational notifications.
- Create, inspect, redeem, and revoke secure family invitations.
- Protect access, troubleshoot errors, prevent duplicate operations, and maintain service reliability.
- Review beta feedback and improve Jackpot.
How information is stored and protected
Jackpot keeps a local copy of family information on authorized devices so the app can function. Supabase is the primary backend and data-storage service for synchronized family state, device registration, notification events, invitations, feedback records, and private photo or screenshot storage. You can review Supabase’s own privacy information at supabase.com/privacy.
During the current beta, certain family, report, responsibility, reward, or feedback records may also be mirrored to Smartsheet for administrative review, troubleshooting, and beta support. These records are not provided to third parties for their own marketing.
We use measures supported by the current implementation, including access controls, limited server-side functions, private storage buckets for feedback screenshots, hashed invitation tokens and access credentials where applicable, expiring invitations, and device-scoped access. However, no app, device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Families should protect profile passcodes, devices, and invitation links and should contact us if they believe access has been compromised.
No sale, advertising, or third-party marketing
Eleise Medina, LLC does not sell personal information collected through Jackpot. Jackpot does not contain advertising or behavioral advertising, and we do not use family information for third-party marketing. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate, store, support, and deliver the app, or when required to comply with law, protect users, or protect the service.
Children and family use
Jackpot is a family accountability app and may contain information about children when a parent or guardian creates or manages a family. The parent or guardian controls family setup, member roles, responsibilities, rewards, invitations, and administrative settings. Children and other regular members receive more limited access based on the family profile and device configuration.
Parents and guardians should supervise use of Jackpot, decide what information is appropriate to enter, and avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in names, notes, descriptions, photos, or feedback. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask questions or request deletion of a child’s information.
Data retention
Retention varies by record and operational need. Family state and history may remain while a family continues using Jackpot. Expired, redeemed, or revoked invitation records and notification or synchronization records may be retained for security, troubleshooting, and duplicate-prevention purposes. Beta feedback may be retained to investigate problems and improve the app. We may also retain information when reasonably needed to address security, disputes, legal obligations, or backup recovery.
Because Jackpot is currently in beta, there is not one fixed retention period for every type of record. When information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, de-identified, or retained only as required for legitimate operational or legal purposes.
Family and account deletion
Jackpot does not currently rely on a conventional email-and-password account for each family member. The in-app Delete Family action removes the saved family, device access credentials, and preferences from that device. Because family data may have synchronized to other devices and backend services, deleting it from one device does not by itself guarantee deletion of cloud copies or copies on other authorized devices.
To request deletion of a synchronized family, a member profile, feedback, or other cloud data, email emedina@themedinamethod.com. Please identify the family and the information involved without sending a profile passcode or invitation code by email. We may need to verify that the requester is an authorized parent or guardian before completing a request. Some limited records may be retained when necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup recovery.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Jackpot changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects how family information is handled, we may also provide notice in the app or through another appropriate channel.
